Mother's Day in Exmouth & Bicton Gardens
8th - 11th March

Celebrate with us this Mothering Sunday Weekend in the lovely sea side resort of Exmouth on the beautiful Jurassic coast. We will have a leisurely drive down with a lunchtime stop in Exeter, before arriving at the hotel with time for a stroll along the sea-front before dinner.

Our first excursion is to Sidmouth, the gateway to the Jurassic coast, and described by Poet Laureate John Betjeman as 'A town caught still in a timeless charm' after being captivated by its beautiful gardens, leisurely walks, clean beaches and Regency History. Enjoy a stroll through Connaught Gardens, one of the town's highlights, along with the stunning red cliffs, and bustling town centre. We will return to the hotel in time for a leisurely afternoon to explore.

On Mothering Sunday we will have time for a relaxing breakfast before the short journey to visit Bicton Botanical Gardens,a delight for gardeners , especially at this lovely time of year. Spanning nearly 300 years of gardening history, the park is home to many rare and beautiful species collected from around the world. There are four greenhouses: palm, tropical, arid and temperate, so there will be plenty of spots to shelter in case of a shower. We will also enjoy a Devon cream tea.
